July 12, 2021 To Our Loyal Fans and Guests: Please let me update all of you on the reopening of Marsha Brown Restaurant. Since the restaurant was closed down due to COVID 19 in March of 2020 I, like so many, have experienced a number of personal challenges, the most eye opening, and heart wrenching is the declining health of my sister who lives in New Orleans. She is in the critical stages of the brutal disease of Parkinson’s. This situation needs to continue to have my focus and full attention for her care and comfort. The restaurant must reopen as it plays a key role in the energy and vitality of New Hope. I have overwhelmingly ADORED serving you for the past 18 years and sincerely treasure the Old Stone Church building, it’s warmth and character that joyously chime from the church steeple. It saddens me to say that I am unable to give the restaurant the attention it so deserves and needs with my present family situation. It is critical to have the restaurant continue, prosper and serve you, our amazing guests, who have been so loyal and happy with us. The restaurant offers a huge value and delicious service to our community. I am so very proud and grateful you embrace us and appreciate the hard work and dedication of each employee that has made Marsha Brown such a success and cherished by our community and astounding number of guests from all over the United States and the world. The great news is that the restaurant will open again in September of 2021. It will open under new ownership … ownership not new to and very familiar with the Marsha Brown concept which is a tremendous blessing. Please join me in welcoming The Old Stone Church of New Hope (formerly Marsha Brown Restaurant) under the leadership of partners Wilfer Naranjo, Michael Sklar, Gaspar Ferrara and Vincent Ferrara. Many of you may remember Wilfer as he worked for me for a number of years at Marsha Brown and is very knowledgeable of the recipes, concept and warm hospitality. He played a key role and was a valued team member when the restaurant first opened in 2003. Wilfer and his partners love the concept … a marriage made in Heaven to continue the legacy of the restaurant into the future serving you well and proud. Many blessings to our new owners as they move in and promise to continue to deliver the very best in food and service. I am forever grateful to each and every one of you for your love of and loyalty to Marsha Brown. My primary home is in Lumberville, Pa., a few miles up River Road from New Hope. I hope to see you and embrace you in the restaurant sometime in the future when I am able. With all of my heart, thank each and every one of you. May God bless you and your families! Warmest regards, Marsha P.S. When the restaurant opens, Marsha Brown gift cards will be honored.
One of the most beautiful dining rooms I've ever dined in! The food and service were outstanding! Very creative menu!
We are located in a 125 year old stone church right in the center of New Hope, Pennsylvania.
The main dining room features 40-foot ceilings, an impressive 30-foot mural, antique furnishings and stained glass windows. The lunch and dinner menus are highlighted with the finest cuts of meat in the area, fish delivered fresh daily and a premier raw bar.
